FAQs
What are carbonless forms?
Carbonless forms, also known as NCR (No Carbon Required) forms, use chemically coated paper to generate duplicate copies without carbon paper. Pressure from handwriting, stamps or printers triggers chemical reactions between coated layers to produce crisp copies automatically. Multi-sheet sets help businesses organize invoices, receipts and orders conveniently.
How many parts of carbonless forms can I order?
We support 2-part, 3-part, 4-part and 5-part carbonless sets, the most popular being 2-part and 3-part. Each layer comes with fixed classic colors for easy classification: white (original copy), yellow (duplicate), pink (triplicate), blue and green for additional copies. Custom color combinations for sheets are acceptable upon request.
What standard sizes are available for carbonless forms?
Common mainstream sizes include A4 (210mm×297mm), A5 (148mm×210mm), 8.5”×11” US letter, 7”×10” invoice size. Custom tailored dimensions are supported for delivery orders, warehouse picking slips, service work orders, taxi receipts and other unique paperwork needs.
What color modes are accepted for carbonless form artwork?
CMYK full-color printing is available for colorful logos, graphics and branded layouts. Pantone (PMS) spot color printing is offered for brands requiring stable, uniform corporate colors. Most clients choose single-color black printing for cost-effective daily office documents. Double-sided printing can be arranged if extra content needs to be printed on the reverse side. RGB files must be converted to CMYK before submission to avoid color mismatch.
What extra functional customizations can be added?
A wide range of practical upgrades are optional: sequential serial numbering for file tracking and anti-loss management, horizontal/vertical perforation lines for easy tearing of stubs, top glued padding into notebooks, consecutive page numbering, pre-printed terms and signatures blocks. Custom blank columns, table structures and text fields can be redesigned to match your business workflow.
What paper features guarantee clear copies?
Our carbonless paper adopts industry-standard CB (Coated Back), CF (Coated Front) and CFB dual-coated paper. The chemical coating ensures even copy transfer with light writing pressure; copies stay legible without fading or smudging. Thickened carbonless stock is available for heavy-duty frequent writing.
What bleed and safe area rules apply to carbonless forms?
A minimum 3mm bleed is required on all four edges of design files to prevent white borders after trimming. All essential content such as tables, numbers, logos and signature lines must be kept within a 3mm inner safe zone. Trimming, padding and perforation may bring tiny position shifts; the safe zone prevents critical content from being trimmed off.
Which file formats are acceptable for printing?
Vector files in AI and PDF with all fonts embedded are highly recommended. All pictures and logos must reach a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Low-resolution images will result in blurry lines and fuzzy printed tables.
What are the typical application scenarios of carbonless forms?
Carbonless forms fit invoices, sales receipts, delivery notes, purchase orders, service repair tickets, inventory slips, restaurant order pads, freight waybills, medical checklists and all business scenarios requiring multiple identical paper records.
What is the MOQ for custom carbonless forms?
The minimum order quantity for standard black-printed carbonless pads is 100 sets. Orders with full-color printing, special perforation, custom sizes and sequential numbering have a higher MOQ. Large bulk orders enjoy tiered volume discounts.
How long is the printing turnaround time?
Standard production needs 4–7 business days after digital proof confirmation. Expedited rush service is available for urgent paperwork replenishment. Orders with complex customized layouts and multiple finishing processes require longer production time.
