FAQs
What is bleed for flyers?
Bleed is an extended print margin added around all four sides of your flyer artwork before printing. We require a minimum 3mm bleed on every edge. When the flyers are trimmed down to final size, the bleed prevents unwanted white borders and stops critical design elements from being sliced off. Different folded flyers (trifold, DL, square) may need adjusted bleed sizes, so always download our official flyer templates to confirm the exact bleed measurement.
What is the flyer safe area?
The safe area sits inside the final trim line of your flyer. All vital content including text, logos, contact information and key imagery must be kept well within this zone. Minor shifting can happen during trimming, folding and finishing processes; keeping content out of the trim buffer eliminates the risk of important details being cut away.
What’s the difference between RGB and CMYK for flyer designs?
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is the colour mode used for digital screens like monitors and phones, which produces brighter, more vivid on-screen tones. CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is the standard colour gamut for physical offset and digital printing. All flyer artwork must be created and saved in CMYK mode to avoid washed-out, mismatched colours on the finished printed flyers.
Why do I need to embed fonts in my flyer file?
If fonts are not embedded within your PDF or AI artwork file, our printing system will automatically replace missing fonts with default system fonts when we open your design. This will alter text spacing, sizing and the overall branded look of your flyers. Embedding all fonts locks text in place so your design appears exactly as you created it during production.
How do I order printed flyers?
Ordering custom flyers is simple with our printing service. Prepare your print-ready CMYK artwork, upload your file, select your preferred flyer size, paper weight and folding style, add special finishes such as spot UV, foil or soft-touch lamination if required, review and approve your digital proof, then submit your order. Our design support team is available to assist with custom sizing, bespoke die-cut shapes or any artwork adjustments you may need.
What are the standard flyer sizes?
Our most popular standard flyer dimensions are:
- A5: 148mm × 210mm (the most widely used promotional flyer size)
- A4: 210mm × 297mm (large full-page event leaflets)
- A6: 105mm × 148mm (compact pocket mini flyers)
- DL: 99mm × 210mm (long narrow maildrop leaflets)
- We also offer custom square and slim bespoke sizes for unique marketing materials.
What folding styles are available for flyers?
We supply a full range of folding options to suit different uses: basic half-fold, tri-fold, z-fold, gate-fold and accordion fold leaflets. We can also produce non-folded single sheet flyers. If you require custom multi-panel folds or tear-off coupon perforations, our team can accommodate bespoke folding layouts.
What resolution is best for flyer artwork?
For sharp, crisp printed flyers free of blurry text or pixelated images, we recommend all artwork files be set to a minimum resolution of 300dpi at full print size. Low-resolution images below 300dpi will appear fuzzy and low-quality once printed at full scale.
What paper materials are available for flyers?
Your paper choice depends on your brand style, budget and intended use:
- Gloss coated art card: Vibrant colour reproduction with a shiny reflective surface, perfect for retail promotions and event advertising.
- Matte coated stock: Soft non-reflective finish for premium, sophisticated brand flyers, ideal for real estate and beauty marketing.
- Uncoated offset/recycled paper: Natural textured stock that can be handwritten on, great for eco-friendly, casual or community outreach flyers.
- Premium textured art paper: Linen, kraft and cotton stocks for luxury, high-end campaign leaflets.
- We also offer thicker heavyweight card options for rigid, high-quality flyers and lightweight thin paper for mass bulk distribution.
What special finishes can I add to flyers?
Multiple premium finishing upgrades are available to elevate your flyers: soft-touch matte lamination, gloss lamination, spot UV varnish, gold/silver/rose gold foil stamping, embossing/debossing, custom die-cut shapes, edge painting and perforated tear-off voucher tabs. Lamination options also add water resistance and durability for long-term use.
What is the minimum order quantity for flyers?
Our standard minimum order quantity for basic single-sided or double-sided flyers is 50 pieces. For fully custom die-cut flyers or special luxury finishes such as foil and spot UV, a higher minimum MOQ may apply. Contact our sales team for bulk wholesale pricing on large volume orders.
How long does flyer printing take?
Our standard turnaround time for flyers is 3–5 business days from digital proof approval. We offer expedited rush production options for urgent orders with faster delivery timelines available upon request.
